a pretty random shot, actually, I didn't intend to do this at first...

the background was pretty dark from itself, the rose was lit by sunlight, coming through a small window.

might redo this...

I have only one word for this: beautiful!
The contrast makes it even greater, because it makes you focus even more on the deep red of the rose :)
